چکیده

Abstract We propose a novel fully automated deformation analysis pipeline capable of estimating real 3D displacement vectors from point cloud data. Different the traditional methods that establish displacements based on proximity in Euclidean space, our approach estimates dense vector fields by searching for corresponding points across epochs space local feature descriptors. Due to this formulation, method is also sensitive motion and deformations occur parallel underlying surface. By enabling efficient processing, proposed can be applied clouds arbitrary size. compare data two landslides show while often underestimate displacements, correctly full vectors.

Learning Efficient Point Cloud Generation for Dense 3D Object Reconstruction

Conventional methods of 3D object generative modeling learn volumetric predictions using deep networks with 3D convolutional operations, which are direct analogies to classical 2D ones. However, these methods are computationally wasteful in attempt to predict 3D shapes, where information is rich only on the surfaces. In this paper, we propose a novel 3D generative modeling framework to efficien...

Comprehensive Analysis of Dense Point Cloud Filtering Algorithm for Eliminating Non-Ground Features

Point cloud and LiDAR Filtering is removing non-ground features from digital surface model (DSM) and reaching the bare earth and DTM extraction. Various methods have been proposed by different researchers to distinguish between ground and non- ground in points cloud and LiDAR data. Most fully automated methods have a common disadvantage, and they are only effective for a particular type of surf...

A Tensor Approach for Precise Computation of Dense Displacement Vector Fields

Using the 3-dimensional structure tensor, dense displacement vector fields (DVF) can be computed with subpixel accuracy. The approach is based on the detection of linear symmetries and the corresponding orientation angle within a local spatio–temporal neighborhood. The proposed technique is well suited to be applied within a multiresolution framework in order to avoid corresponence problem erro...

Landslide Displacement Monitoring Using 3D Range Flow on Airborne and Terrestrial LiDAR Data

An active landslide in Doren, Austria, has been studied by multitemporal airborne and terrestrial laser scanning from 2003 to 2012. To evaluate the changes, we have determined the 3D motion using the range flow algorithm, an established method in computer vision, but not yet used for studying landslides. The generated digital terrain models are the input for motion estimation; the range flow al...
